Apple has just manufactured a sophisticated device that far surpasses the rest. It is ready to patent its smart bezel display unit. This device increases the display area considerably while decreasing the volume of the wearable gadget.
The smart bezel by Apple allows for maximum display space and minimum size. Those are its chief qualities. The much talked about iWatch comes to mind when this stuff is mentioned. According to Apple Insider, the paradox and irony of the situation are apparent. Kodak may just have been responsible for this innovation. And it was Apple’s iPhone and other smart phones, which put Kodak in a financial state of depression. Now that Apple is using the selfsame technology inspired by its rival it comes as somewhat of a “poetic injustice” if one can coin such a phrase.

Patent No. 8,477,114 was granted by U.S. Patent and Trade Mark Office to Apple today concerning the touch-sensitive bezel which can hide/reveal a portion of the display unit upon order. The unique selling point of this smart bezel is that it offers far more space. And it overlaps with certain areas of the display thereby providing more versatility. The patent was given the name of “Electronic Device, Display and Touch-Sensitive User Interface”. It basically consists of two display areas. One of them is the active display area. And the other one is the hidden area. Together they form the whole device which is a miracle of computer engineering and silicon technology. A sensor within the system detects any movement of a hand. Even when that hand is close to the display, the device promptly works by activating the display unit. This touch sensitive smart bezel provides a second input option for small screen devices. And by sensing the finger movement, it can transform the display from transparent to opaque.
The smart bezel keeps certain parts of the display hidden until the appropriate time. All it essentially needs is a command and then it goes into working mode. The touch-sensitive bezel can even sense an approaching hand remotely. The screen may be lit up or not depending on the situation. This technology takes the concept of user-friendly devices to an extreme. The device is turned on merely by someone coming close to it. Even differences in hues or textual matter can be manipulated via this superb gizmo. Furthermore, a number of technologies can employ this device. The iWatch is the most likely candidate for this wonder widget. It will use a crystal clear and cool imagery display. As for the utility, that too will be taken to an extreme via the smart bezel by Apple.
