Hot Russian Spy Anna Chapman wants to Marry Edward Snowden

NSA whistle blower Edward Snowden is still stuck in Moscow in an airport terminal. Russia is starting to lose patience with him according to this new Reuters report . Snowden needs to find a country soon that gives him a new passport and asylum. Former Russian spy Anna Chapman has another exit for Snowden - marriage. The hot spy, who was caught in the United States and exchanged for American spys is now famous in Russia. This week she tweeted (via Yahoo! ): "Snowden, will you marry me?!"

This is the most entertaining news so far about Edward Snowden. His NSA revelations have triggered a global avalanche of reports of governments spying on us. The US is even photographing each letter that is sent by the postal service. This stuff is so big, it really is astonishing that nobody before Snowden has revealed what is going on.

Yes, we took last week off (for our nation's birthday), so it's been two weeks since we've taken a look at politics through our own special lens, which (as always) will feature heavy overuse of the editorial "we" (just because we enjoy it so much). Plenty of stuff happened in the past two weeks in the political world, but we'll get to all of that in a ...

By Mark Hosenball WASHINGTON, July 11 (Reuters) - A German defense official under investigation for alleged spying was in contact with a U.S. State Department officer rather than American intelligence agencies, raising questions about whether any espionage occurred, U.S. officials familiar with the case told Reuters on Friday. The officials, who are knowledgeable about the details of the case, said the U.S. government believes the relationship between the German defense official a ...

MojoKid writes: "When NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden came forth last year with U.S. government spying secrets, it didn't take long to realize that some of the information revealed could bring on serious repercussions — not just for the U.S. government, but also for U.S.-based companies. The latest to feel the hit? None other than Apple, and in a region the company has been working hard to increase market share: China. China, via state media, has today declared that Apple' ...

Amazon Unveils Its First Smartphone
___ Downside of low US mortgage rates? Less selling WASHINGTON (AP) — Would-be home sellers across the country are grappling with a once-in-a-lifetime problem: They have mortgage rates so absurdly low it would hurt them financially to sell. Doing so would mean giving up an irresistible rate in exchange for a new mortgage carrying a rate up to a percentage point higher. Their monthly payments would be larger even for a house of the same price. That’s discouraging some people from selling, the ...

Last weekend, The Washington Post published a story I wrote with Julie Tate and Ashkan Soltani about National Security Agency surveillance that sweeps in the conversations of people who are not foreign “targets.” The story, based on 160,000 intercepted communications I received from former NSA contractor Edward Snowden, has provoked a lot of questions, objections, and, I think, misunderstandings.
