Apple will launch its next generation 9.7-inch iPad 5 Retina Display on its scheduled date in September. But the 7.9-inch iPad Mini is still under up-gradation and its launch can be delayed till end of year.
Apple is reportedly set to launch its new iPad 5 devices in September. The 9.7" iPad is the 5th generation device of the flagship that is going to launch on its scheduled dates. But iPad mini retina display is still under adjustments. Apple will further upgrade its specs according to DigiTimes report.

It is already know that the next generation 9.7-inch iPad 5 will have Retina Display. But along with it, Apple is also giving it a new look through a slim bezel and single LED light tube. This will widen the display area. Battery time is also increased. While the supply line sources expecting that Apple will ship devices by the end of this month or in early August.
But for 7.9-inch iPad mini, Apple is still considering upgrades in specs. Apple is considering a bezel-less design for this device. The company is still also thinking about to get Retina Display for iPad mini. If the company will add retina display feature into next generation iPad mini, the device is expected to get delayed till end of 4th quarter.
