Sharknado is exactly what you think it is. A tornado invested with sharks. The made for TV movie aired on Syfy yesterday and caused a huge spike on social media activity. Sharknado proves the point that a bad movie can still be a huge social media hit.

The name alone I think was part of what viewers got into turning to Twitter. #sharknado is still trending on Twitter.
