WhatsApp is Updated for Windows Phone 8 Devices

Hooray! New updated WhatsApp for WP8 has eliminated the background audio streaming and now provides proper background agent support without killing off music. Much more awaited update brings a slew of improvements, tweaks and new features. WhatsApp Messenger version number 2.10.488.0 has an updated Emoji functionality that is similar in function now as for iOS and Androids. New smileys are added to express more. Added features include in-app voice call facility, a double wide tile to watch smileys, a backup of chat history, larger preview fro sent images and resuming speed is also very fast now.

User notifications problem is also resolved in this update. Though many issues are fixed in this update but some remained unresolved as reported by Engadget. Integration for Viber and other VoIP functions is still not provided in this update. This latest WhatsApp Messenger update not only supports WP8 devices but it also includes support for Windows Phone 7.8 devices.
