The iPadmini 2 is widely assumed to come withretinadisplay as main new feature. Now Asian supply chain news site Digitimes has a report claiming that the iPad mini with Retina display will come in 2014. Apple would still release a new iPad mini for the holidays but without retina display. The iPad mini 2 would have a revised design that makes it lighter and thinner and more powerful.
Apple could get away with holding out on introducing the retina display on the iPad mini, but would be a disappointment.
The same report claims that the iPad 5 will be 20-30% lighter because it uses a new thin-film touch panel technology. The new iPad 5 will also have a slimmer bezel.

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.
The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
