Tumblr rolls out a very important security update for its iOS app and asks users to reset their passwords.
After being acquired by Yahoo, Tumblr issues its first update for iOS app last week. But today, the company issued again a new version 3.4.1 with "very important security update" for its iOS users. This update fixes an important security issue in the app that allows the exposure of password information in some ways.

But famous blogging website has now resolved this issue requests all of its users to "Please download the update now." The company also asks users to reset their passwords for Tumblr iOS app and other apps where they used same password, to avoid any inconvenience. The company also advised its users not to use same passwords for different apps.
The company also feels sorry for this security vulnerability. Tumblr states, "Please know that we take your security very seriously and are tremendously sorry for this lapse and inconvenience."
