New Google Maps now available to all
 

Google has been brewing an entirely different Google Maps app. Previously available on an invite-only basis, the new Google Maps is now available for everyone. Read more to try it out.

Good news to avid Google Maps users out there. Today, Google is making the new version of Google Maps available for all.

The new application previously came out on an invite-only basis. First unveiled at the Google I/O 2013 developers conference, the new Google Maps sports a new interface and includes the cards aesthetic of Google Now.

Google has also improved the search box, making it smarter and apt to find places and directions. For example, typing "sushi" will display search results directly on the map so that users can locate restuarants that offer the delicacy.

There's also info cards that diplays useful information about places such as reviews and ratings and a new "zoom out" feature that allows users to zoom out into space. If you're curious, you can try the new Google Maps here.
