The iPhone 5S could be the first iPhone with fingerprint sensor. Initial rumors have talked about the fingerprint sensor being part of the home button. Then some other reports claimed that the fingerprint sensor will be invisible and part of the screen. The latter theory is now getting more steam as Apple has filed a patent describing exactly this according to Apple Insider . The fingerprint sensor would be part of the screen and you just touch the iPhone screen to get scanned - I just say - exactly! THis is how it needs to be.
The patent filing is an AuthenTech patent assigned to Apple. Apple bought the fingerprint sensor company last year. As said earlier today, the iPhone 5 could feel outdated compared to the iPhone 5S because of some new rumored features including fingerprint access control.
