The late Steve Jobs’ brainchild, Apple Incorporated has hit the high watermark. It has left its competitors far behind in the game of global stakes. Within the Unites States and Canada, the iPad was so popular that it snapped up a whopping 84% of the traffic. The figure is based upon web analytics and advertisement counting done by Chitika.
This resultant percentage is for the month of June. It was a 2% increase beyond the month of May. Other tablets, on the contrary, saw a downward spiral. The only success story was Barnes & Noble’s Nook. Its traffic rating rose by 37%. Amazon’s Kindle Fire grabbed a 5.9% share. And Samsung Galaxy’s tablet had a 4.2% portion of the overall pie.
Therefore, Apple’s iPad is definitely ruling the roost. At least in North America, it is the king of its castle. The results all went in favor of Apple’s iPad. And Apple’s victory comes at the expense of the other players who are left with peanuts.
Apple seems to have brought a miracle in the world of tablets by introducing its touch-based iOS platform on a much larger scale. The CEO, Tim Cook has spoken of how the tablet selling space is the mother of all markets. He may be right. Meanwhile, other producers have raided the market with similar devices too. It is predicted that sometime in the future, Android tablets may gain ground on the iPad. Till then Apple’s iPad remains the #1 tool for a Western target market.
