Amazon is reportedly working on 3 new tablets that will be launch soon. It is widely believed that these will come as replacement of current Kindle Fire HD tablets. What we have now is a set of specifications for these new Kindle Fire models. BGR already reported that Amazon is set to launch its next generation Kindle Fire HD tablets this fall. BGR
has just published a new report in which it claims to have all specification detail of the next generation Amazon Kindle Fire HD tablets.
Amazon's current entry-level 7-inch Kindle Fire tablet of price $159 will be replaced first. Next-gen model is believed to have same screen size but with a higher resolution of 1,280 x 800 pixel. Current model have an IPS display of 1,024 x 600p resolution. Other reported specs include a 2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB RAM, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS, front camera, WiFi, Adreno 330 graphics and four Krait 400 CPUs. Optional cellular data support will also be available. This model will come with either 8GB, 16GB or 32GB internal storage this year.
Second replacement will come for 8.9-inch Kindle Fire HD model. Next-generation 8.9-inch Kindle Fire HD model will also have same size HD screen display but with higher resolution than current model's 1080p. It will have same hardware and software specs shown in above 7-inch model but with dual cameras. Along with a front facing camera, it will carry an additional 8MP rear end camera too. Also this larger model will come in 16GB, 32GB or 64GB variants.
Third rumored tablet will be an upgraded version of 8.9″ Kindle Fire tablet. As we know that current 8.9-inch model has screen resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 pixels, but it will go much higher for upgraded version. BGR sources suggest that screen resolution for upgraded version will be 2,560 x 1,600 pixel. It means that this new 8.9" Amazon's tablet will have more resolution than Apple’s big 9.7-inch Retina display iPad that features 2,048 x 1,536-pixel resolution. Remaining specs will be same as of 8.9" model.
Amazon is planning to launch these re-designed and vastly improved tablets in this fall (as early as late September). No such pricing detail of these tablets is given.
