Yahoo, now under the leadership of Marissa Mayer, is working hard reinventing itself for the better. Just after acquiring the social browsing startup Rockmelt, the Internet search giant announced today its plan to revamp its logo in an effort to project the company's rapid evolution.
Starting today and up until next month, Yahoo will be showing variations of its logo on its homepage. This is line with the company's "30 days of change" countdown that will end next month. By then, the new official logo of Yahoo will be revealed.
Yahoo says that the new logo will be a modern redesign that’s more reflective of the company's reimagined design and new experiences. However, the company said that it will still retail the color purple on the logo as well as the iconic exclamation point. The official logo will be revealed on September 4th at 9pm PST.
