An LG Electronics outdoor promotional event for the LG G2 launch went very wrong in South Korea.
A promotional event for the new LG G2 went very wrong in Seoul last Friday reports the BBC. LG released 100 helium balloons with LG G2 vouchers attached in a park. Everybody in possession of a voucher would get a free LG G2. What LG did not anticipate was how participants would arm themselves. They arrived with BB guns and knives on sticks to shoot or spear down the balloons.

As the crowd stormed towards the balloons they hurt each other with their "weapons". 20 participants got insured and seven had to visit the hospital. LG cancelled all further balloon events and is taking full responsibility. The company also covers the medical bills.
It is a funny story, if there would not have been the people who suffered. BBC says that a Korean TV channel called the incident World War G, in context of Brad Pitt's World War Z zombie sci-fi.
