The annual Graceland vigil took place last night and again thousands of Elvis fans from around the world attended.

Last night thousands of Elvis Presley fans attended the annual vigil in Graceland. Presley died 36 years ago. The Graceland vigil marks the highlight of the Elvis week. An estimated 35,000 fans attended the vigil last night according to this AP story on ABC News.

Next year marks the 60th anniversary of Rock 'n' Roll. It was on July 5th that Elvis recorded a sped up version of "That's All Right" marking the birth of Rock 'n' Roll.
