LinkedIn to Launch University Pages on September 12

LinkedIn has finally come of age. It introduces dedicated university pages for students today that will be available on September 12. The youthful crowd over 13 and in High School has taken to the LinkedIn pages like a duck to water.

There have been rumors regarding Facebook’s loss of its younger generation who have turned elsewhere for their entertainment needs. But LinkedIn has taken the youth under its wing in an attempt to attract this profitable age bracket. High School pupils are flocking to the pages of LinkedIn. The University Pages have seen to it that this studious group frequents the site for the sake of helpful and friendly contacts. They can form their profiles via these pages and seek people on them. Basically, individuals utilize LinkedIn as a place for posting their resumes. But now it is expanding this role and that is a visible sign of progress. Starting from the 12th of September this new proviso will go into effect. And the crowd of youngsters is hopping glad. 

The University Pages have a repertoire of over 200 educational institutions. The newly begun program is a boon for universities too since they can now keep a record of all the alumni who have passed through the educating process. It comes as somewhat of a surprise that Facebook didn’t catch on to this learners’ platform. Although it began in the context of an educational organization, Facebook got stuck in trivialities. LinkedIn’s University Pages also allow you to check up on the careers your seniors are into currently. Whether you want to take up a course in psychology or start your vocation as a psychotherapist, LinkedIn University Pages are the hot spot you have sought all along.
