Foursquare for Windows 8 App is Now Available in Windows Store

Foursquare launches its first-ever large-screen app today for Windows 8 and Windows RT devices. Foursquare app is now available to download in Windows Store for laptops, tablets and PCs running Windows 8 or RT.

Foursquare has already announced at Microsoft's Build developer conference at the end of June, that it is going to launch its first ever app for large-screen devices. Foursquare for Windows 8 now provides laptop, tablet and desktop users a facility to check in at places and find new places.

This popular social app is used only on smartphones before to check-in at places and share photos, tips and reviews of the places you like most. It has over 35 million global users and over 4 billion check-ins till now. Now large-screen users have given same facility via exclusive Foursquare Windows 8 app.

Dennis Crowley, Co-founder and CEO of Foursquare, said about the app:

"People want to experience and explore the world around them, and the Foursquare for Windows 8 app helps them do that. It makes it fun to search for a place for dinner or to go out, and helps people discover new experiences. We’ve worked with Microsoft on a bunch of initiatives over the years, and this product is another example of the great things we can do together."
