YouTube has totally redesigned its logo. It has just changed its previous logo with new one on official Facebook and Twitter accounts but not on its own website. Hence, a formal acknowledgment is still required.
Like it or not, the above pictured image is the new logo for YouTube. Google owned YouTube teases this new logo on both of its Facebook and Twitter accounts. This is the first time since YouTube was formed in 2005, that the company has totally redesigned its logo. A few tweaks were done to the former logo, but this is the first total refresh.

The new YouTube logo is a pretty simple one with two-toned colors of red and white design. The whole emphasis of the logo is a flat play icon with simple thin written 'YouTube' below. This logo was first seen some days ago on YouTube's Android and iOS apps and now today on Facebook and Twitter accounts. The interesting thing is that the company has not swapped its older logo with new one on the official YouTube website. So a formal acknowledgment is still required and we will wait for that.
