Apple has kept us waiting this year with new product announcements until September. On September 10 Apple is supposed to host the big iPhone media event. Typically Apple is releasing the new iPhones about 10 days after the event. Reports from vacation blocking at carriers confirm this tradition. We already covered the T-Mobile vacation blocking and now also a report about Verizon employee vacation blocking periods confirm again the September 20 iPhone release date.
Apple is for the first time expected to introduce two iPhone models this year. The premium iPhone 5S is expected to come with a fingerprint sensor, better camera, more performance and in the same iPhone 5 design. The iPhone 5S is also supposed to be available in a gold color. New this year is the rumored lower cost iPhone 5C. It is supposed to come in various colors and has a plastic casing. The iPhone 5C is supposed to reach new market segments, but my guess is that it actually might become a hot item for teenagers.

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.
The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
