LG Electronics has announced today that it will start rolling out its flagship smartphone G2 globally in this month. LG G2 smartphone will be launched in the United States and Germany, starting in September. LG has launched its G2 first in South Korea back in August. After a month, the tech giant will start global roll out from two of its key markets, following others soon.
President and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company, Dr. Jong-seok Park said, “The positive market feedback after the initial launch in Korea proved to us that the LG G2’s consumer-oriented innovation does resonate with customers. The LG G2 was developed as a global device for a global audience, beyond the scope of any smartphone we’ve introduced to date. I’m confident consumers will see the difference.”
For European users, LG will showcase G2 smartphone in Hall 11.2 at IFA 2013 starting on September 6 in Berlin, Germany. At its launch, LG has already promised to launch its new flagship smartphone worldwide over 130 mobile carriers. This global roll out starts with US, Germany while UK's Three is also hoping to get the device soon.
LG G2 hardware specs include 5.2-inch Full HD IPS display, 2.3GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 3,000mAh long-lasting battery, 13MP Optical Image Stabilizer (OIS) camera that can capture 1080p videos at 60fps, audio zoom of 24 bit/192kHz Hi-Fi playback to record sound and a highly functional Rear Key. Some very good UX (user experience) features are also there that includes Answer Me, Plug & Pop, QuickRemote and Guest Mode.
