Lenovo has just announced 5 new Full HD display, thinner and lighter ultabooks with extended upto 17 hours long swapable battery. Lenovo's ThinkPad T440s, ThinkPad T440, ThinkPad X240, ThinkPad S440 and last but not least the ThinkPad S540 are raring to go in a competitive field of market forces. The bygone year saw the ThinkPad T431s arrive on the scene from none other than Lenovo, a big company by any standard. Now it has come up with even more innovative products that are arriving fresh off the assembly line.
Among these, the S540 is the big one among the small time tykes. The previous year’s model brought in quite a few radical changes. The T Series have the selfsame features yet with the subtle difference that Intel’s Fourth Generation Haswell Processors are fitted at the center of each one. And of course NVIDIA GeForce GT 730M GPU (nonfunctional in the USA) comes with the territory.
Lenovo exemplifies the saying that: the more things change, the less they change. Its ThinkPads are featherweight devices that have softer, smoother, sleeker contours and greater longevity. Yet they retain many of the previous elements in an evolutionary vestigial way. They have even changed color from a dull black hue to a far more sophisticated graphite-black.
Dilip Bhatia, vice president, Marketing, Think Business Group, Lenovo , said, ”Constant improvements and a strong ambition to always build a better laptop has resulted in thinner, lighter and longer lasting ThinkPad laptops with a simpler and cleaner design and up to an incredible 17 hours of battery life. After extensive research with hundreds of computer users around the world, Lenovo has reset the standard for business class Ultrabooks. The result of thousands of hours spent with consumers and business users have contributed to innovations and enhancements optimized for business and personal use. The new ThinkPad design meets the changing needs of IT managers and end-users.”
Along with these fantastic 5 ThinkPads, Lenovo also introduces a new 29-inch ThinkVision monitor called LT2934z. It has AH-IPS LED backlit panel that shows 21:9 panoramic display to give user a true cinema experience. This new monitor offers 33% more viewing area than a traditional 16:9 screen. Lenovo is taking up more and more space in the arena by challenging the conventional in favor of the creative and offbeat.
ThinkPad T440 costs approximately $899 while the ThinkPad T440S has a price tag of about $1149. For now at least thin is definitely in. ThinkPad X240 is priced at $1099. all these three ultrabooks will be available starting end of October. On the other hand, ThinkPad S440 will be available initially in selected markets in September at price of €699. Both ThinkPad S540 and ThinkVision LT2934z will be available starting October at prices of €649 and $799 respectively.
