The rumor is out and it just might be real. Microsoft has prepared a Power Cover for its Surface tablets that has abuilt-in battery in keyboard cover.

Microsoft has had its slips of the tongue which allow a peek into the reality behind the appearance. The manufacture of a combined keyboard/cover for its Surface devices along with an internal battery is in the works. The Power Covers will elongate the battery life of all three models. These include the Surface 2 Pro, the Surface Pro and the Surface 2.

The Power Cover will be almost double in its thickness as compared to the previous version. These spic-and-span covers may not be in the market until some time later in the future. A discount rate on the Covers leads to a shelf price of about $80 per piece. The previous battery life was not up to par. So in order to please its valued customers, Microsoft has introduced its Power Covers which by the way work just fine.

These Power Covers will clip on to the tablets and allow a bump in thickness to be added. The result will be a significantly long life of the batteries. So many people are fond of their Microsoft Surface but don’t like the battery life on it. Well, all that is about to change with the Power Covers.

Microsoft sure knows how to turn a disadvantage into an advantage. It bends like the willow instead of breaking like the oak when the wind of change blows hard. That is why this simple yet efficient supplement to Surface tablets has solved the problem for now at least.
