Apple has reportedly reached to a definitive agreement with 2 largest Chinese mobile carriers for the sale of its new iPhone line-up within days after the US launch. China Unicom and China Telecom will start taking pre-orders of iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C next week soon after the launch. What about China Mobile's new iPhone deal then?
Be prepared folks for the biggest new iPhone launch event this year. Just 4 more days and you will see new iPhone line-up including high-end iPhone 5S and low-end, low-price iPhone C almost simultaneously in US, China and may be in more countries. We have previously seen a lot of speculations and rumors about the new iPhone sale deal between Apple and China Mobile. But no such confirmation is still seen. And there are rumors that this new iPhone sale deal is in trouble. It looks that the pricing issue between both giants has not yet resolved.
Some sale details for iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C are leaked online today. We have already reported earlier today about the China Telecom iPhone sale deal that was accidentally exposed via its iPhone pre-order page (now deleted).
But a recent report from Reuters claims that not only China's 3rd largest carrier China Telecom, but also the 2nd largest carrier China Unicom wills also sale new iPhone line-up in the world's largest smartphone market with over 1 billion users. Though China Mobile has major portion of subscribers in the country with 63% of all. But both China Unicom and China Telecom jointly have 266 million users. A very good figure to impact iPhone sales. Yet the Apple China Mobile deal is still not finished. We can see low-cost iPhone 5C through this carrier, though iPhone 5S can be left.
Apple is really giving importance to China this time and it is obvious. China is not only the world's biggest smartphone market, but also the second largest market after US in terms of iPhone sales. So Apple's decision to hold a separate satellite event in Beijing on September 11 to launch new iPhone is necessary. This is for the very first time that Apple is launching its new iPhone on almost same time (one day gap) in China and US.
Other reports also point the Japan launch via its largest carrier NTT DoCoMo too. So the largest new iPhone launch event is on its way for September 10th. Get ready to see stunning new iPhone 5S and low-cost plastic iPhone 5C on said date. An Apple TV updated version can also be seen on this day with new iOS 7 operating system. While the new iPad launch speculations mostly points towards 4th quarter of current year and an iWatch is expected in 2014.
