Sony has just announced to debut first its new PlayStation Vita Wi-Fi model in Japan on October 10th at retail price of 19,929 Yen with tax. This new 3G/Wi-Fi PS Vita model is thinner and lighter and it will come in 6 different colors with 1GB internal memory card.
A new PS Vita model is coming to Japan earlier than next-generation PS4. It is big news to be happy. Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. (SCEI) has announced today that its all new slim and thin PCH-2000 series, PlayStation Vita Wi-Fi model is on its way to Japan for October 10th launch. Japan will be the first place where new slimmer and lighter PS Vita will be launched.

New PS Vita console will be a 3G/Wi-Fi model that includes 1GB internal memory card in it. PS Vita internal architecture is completely redesigned to match PCH-2000 series systems. This refreshed Vita model is now 20% thinner and 15% lighter than the original one. PS Vita’s biggest feature is its ability to adopt to 5-inch front display thorough its HD LCD.
Other new features of new PS Vita include an overall convex and rounded shape for all of its buttons and body. Body is trimmed to fit easily into hands. No need to purchase a separate memory card for PS Vita as its new version improves usability via 1GB internal memory card. It also includes longer battery life with improved 4 to 6 hours of game play and approximately 7 hours of video play.
The new PS Vita system will come in six different color variations. Black, White, Lime green/White, Light blue/White, Pink/Black and Khaki/Black are the six colors of the new model. It will be available at a price of 18,980 yen ($190) without tax and 19,929 yen with tax in Japan.
