Chinese Boy is a Guinness Record Breaker for Youngest Pilot

He Yide is a child prodigy hailing from China. The five year old has been rigorously trained by his father in various disciplines. The small wonder has already broken the barrier for rolling in freezing snow. That is no small feat for such a young soul.

In fact, he is now the official Guinness Book record holder for being the youngest kid to have flown an airplane. Duoduo, as is his moniker, flew an ultra-light plane across Beijing Wildlife Park for more than half an hour. And while there was a trainer accompanying the tyke, the man only minimally helped the young one. Meanwhile, a photo of Duoduo went viral with him running through winter weather in his underwear.

He even sailed a regatta that was twice his weight. Then he clambered up the heights of Mount Fujiyama in less than 24 hours. His proud father meanwhile has gotten mixed reviews. He has been called “Eagle Dad” for the precise training methods he has used to hone his son’s abilities to a razor blade.

But there are those who say he is ruining the little child’s days of innocence. By trying to gain fame from the antics of the youngster, the father is cashing in popularity and celebrity status. Whatever the case may be, the boy’s father, He Liesheng has spent close to $5000 for the courses his son has taken so far.

The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
