The Apple iPhone event in China, the first of its kind, has just ended without any news. Apple just showed the gathered local journalists a video of the US iPhone event.

If you got your hopes up that Apple would unveil a wonder weapon for the Chinese market today at the special China iPhone event you are going to be disappointed. The event just ended and all that Apple did was to show the gathered journalists a video of the US event. Apple did not announce anything new and specific to China.

The rumored China Mobile deal was also not a topic. The iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S have very high prices in China compared to the competition. Apple doesn't seem ready to really take on the Chinese market.
