iPhone 5C still too expensive in China, iPhone 5S cases available, billionaire investor buys more Apple stock and more

The iPhone 5C might seem like a bargain in the US at $99. However, over in China where wages are fraction of what most Americans make, the device is the equivalent of $817. Billionaire investor Carl Icahn took advantage of Apple's depressed stock price after the iPhone event this week to purchase more shares. He called the stock "cheap" and said his already extensive holdings are among some of his best. A new Apple patent application has turned up that hints sapphire may be heavily used in future devices. Another Apple rumor making the rounds hints that there could be new Apple TV hardware coming within the month. Apple has plans to tightly integrate the M7 motion processor with its Maps offering according to an inside source. This integration could mean navigation doesn't end once you park your car.

About the Geek Mind

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.

The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
