Virgin Mobile Employs BlinkWashing Tech for YouTube Channel
Virgin Mobile has got something very exciting for its valued clientele of YouTube channel. It will employ BlinkWashing webcam technology which changes ads on its YouTube channel every time you blink your eyes.
Termed “BlinkWashing” the technology is the latest of its kind and a marvel to behold. The whole process begins with a message for you to take it easy and adjust your webcam. A tiny video box then sizes up your face. After this object systematization, you are taken to the ads section, and the moment you blink the ad changes to a new one. The Net connection needs to be speedy though for you to be able to use this facility. Otherwise, it could prove to be a bit of a mismatch.
The technology does get a little problematic since the blinking doesn’t often coincide with the advertisement length. Many people found themselves over-blinking or under-blinking in an effort to see or skip the ads. The hitch of incomplete viewing will hopefully be solved some time in the future.
It is an automatic process that requires nothing short of scanning your eye movements. While such novel technology is a source of exhilaration at present, it also conjures up images of dystopia and dictatorship. Nobody wants to be controlled in a manner portrayed in George Orwell’s horrifying novel 1984.

The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
