The Engineering and Products VP at Facebook is planning to leave the social network soon. Greg Badros thanked the company staff and management for the support they lent him through the years.

Parting is such sweet sorrow. Facebook is about to face the departure of one of its brightly talented VPs. Greg Badros, will be leaving the company in a couple of weeks. The man directly reported to Mark Zuckerberg, the youthful founder and head of Facebook. He was among five other VPs who had direct access to Zuckerberg

Facebook spokesperson has confirmed AllThingsD about Badros’s departure in a brief statement: “Greg was a valuable member of Facebook’s team, and we wish him the best of luck in the future.”

In his farewell message Greg spoke of how he wanted to thank Mark and the rest of the people at the social network for lending him access to such a good time. Through them he had made a significant impression upon the rest of the world. He said that he would remember the team of talented people he worked with in kind words

Later on in the message, Badros told everyone what he planned to do next. After so many years at both Google and Facebook, he wanted to have a positive impact on the environment surrounding him. That was why he thought that investing in venture capital and working as a consultant appealed to him.

While he was at Facebook, Greg Badros was into monetization as well as advertising its products. He was also responsible for its search department. The man was pure genius and he will be missed by everyone who came in contact with him at Facebook.
