NYPD wants people to upgrade to iOS 7, AppleCare+ service available in more countries when you travel, new Apple Maps flaw

Top Apple news for September 25

The NYPD has been handing out flyers trying to get people who own Apple gadgets to upgrade their devices to the latest version of the operating system. iOS 7 has security updates that the NYPD thinks will help curb the high rate of Apple gadget theft in the city.

Apple has extended the coverage area for its AppleCare+ policies. The new policies allow people to get service in any country where AppleCare is allowed.

A newly discovered flaw in Apple Maps has routed a couple across airport taxiways at the Fairbanks international Airport in Alaska. How exactly the car could gain access to an international Airport runway system is unknown.
