Western Digital My Cloud Creates Your Own Personal Cloud-based Storage
When it comes to storing your favorite content in the cloud so you can access the content from anywhere, you can opt to pay monthly or yearly for service. A lot of people prefer to purchase rather than having to pay monthly or yearly fees. Af you're the sort of person, Western Digital as a new storage device called My Cloud.
My Cloud storagedevices are available in 2 TB, 3 TB, or 4 TB capacity. All three drives have the same features and allow you to access content stored on them from anywhere you can get a web connection using smartphone or PC apps. Western Digital promises that the My Cloud drives are easy to set up and they can streaming video directly to DLNA certified devices.
The drives also have a built-in USB 3.0 port that allowsusers to plug in an external storage device to expand storage capacity when needed. The 2 TB and 3 TB version of the My Cloud are both available now at $149.99 and $179.99 respectively. The 4 TB version will be available in November for $249.99.
