Walmart Announces Great Value LED Light Bulbs Selling for under Nine Dollars

Walmart has stepped into the LED lightbulb business in a big way with a complete line of Great Value LED bulb offerings. Walmart says that it wants to make LED light bulbs more accessible and affordable for consumers and the pricing on some of its offerings will certainly go a long way towards reaching that goal.

Walmart is offering a non-dimmable 60-watt equivalent LED that will retail for $8.88. Users wanting a dimmable version of Apple will pay $9.88. Walmart has 26 different types of LED light bulbs including floodlights and more.

A 65-watt LED non-dimmable floodlight will sell for $14.88. The dimmable version of that bulb will sell for $15.88. Walmart makes purchasing LED a simple choice for consumers through the new low price and package design that is easy to understand. Consumers get excellent light output that is more reliable, convenient, better for the environment and saves money in the long run," said Steve Bratspies, executive vice president of general merchandise for Walmart.

About the Geek Mind

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.

The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
