First watch from Garmin aimed specifically at pilots

Garmin has introduced its very first GPS watch aimed specifically at pilots. The watch is called the D2 Pilot Watch and can be ordered for $469.99. Firm describes the watch as portable avionics an arrest warrant package.

The watch features a worldwide airport database and direct-to and nearest buttons to help pilots find an airport when needed. The watch also features a built-in altimeter with adjustable baro settings and the compass.

The watch is able to receive wireless flightplan data from Garmin Pilot software and it to control VIRB action cameras. The watch is an internal high sensitivity WAAS GPS receiver. The watch also features timers and vibrating alerts that can be set to remind the pilot perform things during flights.
