Instagram App Arriving Officially on Windows Phone Soon

The Nokia World event in Abu Dhabi was the venue where CEO and creator of Instagram, Kevin Systrom announced today the arrival of the official Windows Phone app that will set the world on fire. And although no fixed date was given, it was said that within the following weeks the app would be released before the public. By this it could be taken for granted that the app will be revealed by the end of 2013.

The goal was to make the beautiful site called Instagram available to all who happen to be users of the Windows Phone platform. The sharing of gorgeous images would be a boon and a blessing for the community. This is quite a blow for BlackBerry, which comes at #3 after Android and iOS. Microsoft can’t help reiterate this fact since it is an actuality now.

The Nokia event was a golden opportunity for several other developers to jump on the bandwagon. Nokia’s release of its Lumia 1020 led to Path, Vine, Flipboard and Hipstamatic Oggl to become setups in their own right.

Besides Instagram and Vine, the following applications are arriving on Windows Phone too: ESPN F1, EA SPORTS, FIFA 14, My Talking Tom, Papyrus, Temple Run 2, Vyclone Pro and Xbox Video.  And with the big daddy of them all, that is Instagram, on board, what more could the user base want.

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.

The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
