Nokia Announces 10.1" Lumia 2520 Windows RT Tablet for $499, Coming This Fall

The all-new 10.1-inch Nokia Lumia 2520 Windows RT 8.1 tablet is announced today for about $499. The Lumia 2520 tablet is coming this fall with LTE, $150 Nokia Power Keyboard and a host of new features.

Nokia Lumia 2520 tablet was declared to be coming soon at the Nokia World event in Abu Dhabi. The Windows RT 8.1 gadget will debut first in the United States, the UK and Finland this fall for $499 without local taxes and subsidies. Later on it will enter other foreign markets too. 

Nokia Lumia 2520 has a 10.1 inch 1080p display screen. And on the introversion/extroversion scale it is ambidextrous, meaning that it functions perfectly indoors as well as outdoors. It can be lined up in synch with a $150 Nokia Power Keyboard. This is the cover which is classic in its makeup. A gesture track pad and 8000 mAh battery with five extra hour’s worth of extended life exist in this baby. Two integral USB ports are there too. 

It also has 4G LTE and Wi-Fi facility. Microsoft Office and Outlook are pre-installed on the tablet. The tablet is both entertaining and ergonomic. A 6.7 megapixel camera and ZEISS optics not to mention 2MP HD wide-angle rear camera are available. The screen is made of Gorilla Glass 2. 

Nokia Music features among the facilities. Free global HERE maps are on the device too. A 2.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor is whirring away at its center. It also features 2GB RAM and 32 GB internal memory twith a micro SD card. SkyDrive cloud storage is there .

As for the hues it comes in, they are: red, white, cyan and black. Other innovative products by Nokia will also be on display at the event. WLAN 802.11 a/b/g/n and NFC are also there with front facing speakers.

Nokia Product Manager Paul Bischof said, “It’s a complete package. It takes everything you’ve got in your desktop or laptop and crams all that into a device that’s only 8.9mm thick and weighs a little over a pound.”
