October 22, 2013: Apple event 'has a lot to cover'
For the gadget enthusiasts and especially the Applefans, what’s better than to hear such an excellent and promising note from the tech giant?
Kicking off at 10 am Pacific time, and 1 pm Eastern time; the rumor of the event was first reported last week by AllThingsD’s John Paczkowski. Later, the news was also backed by The Loop’s Jim Dalrymple. So with the day standing at the doorstep, Apple has indeed been able to rouse some expectations with the beautiful event teaser “We still have a lot to cover”. The accompanying kaleidoscope of leaves in various shades has also nicely complimented the leaf from the Apple logo and the diversity of the company.
But since the hearsay of the event, rumors have been high that Apple might unveil its new 9.7 inch, fifth generation iPad featuring another Retina display. So with all these rumors flying sharp, we can only keep an eye on the clock as the event nears for the opening.
Black Friday Declared Dead Again
Every year reports appear ahead of Black Friday declaring its death. The most hyped shopping event is though far from dead and still one of the best opportunities to score deals if you know how.

The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
