Apple New iPads Event Highlights Updated Live

The Apple October 22 media event is here. We are watching the event online. Get the details of the Apple media event live video stream. If you do not have the time to follow the event live, we will update this story with the highlights. It is widely expected that Apple will unveil new iPads at the event today. The iPad 5 is going to adopt the design of the iPad mini and add the fingerprint sensor from the iPhone 5S. It will of course also be faster.

The new iPad mini 2 is expected to get a Retina display, making it likely the hottest selling tablet during this coming Black Friday and Holiday season. Apple just needs to make enough of these babies. This is rumored to be a problem. The iPad mini 2 can also very quickly become the hardest to find holiday gift of 2013.

Apple is also likely unveil updated Mac hardware. If we are lucky there is a surprise announcement, but do not hold your breath.

About the Geek Mind

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.

The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
