Is Best Buy changing from last year to only have their Black Friday 2013 sale take place on the actual Black Friday? I highly doubt that.
The Best Buy Black Friday 2013 sale is one of the most anticipated Black Friday sales. Best Buy has recently updated their Black Friday landing page. The text on the page mentions several times that the Best Buy Black Friday 2013 sale is on November 29th in stores and also online. Does that mean that Best Buy is not launching their Black Friday sale on Thanksgiving Day like most other large retailers?

I doubt that. Best Buy has been launching their online Black Friday sale always super early. Last year the Best Buy Black Friday sale on BestBuy.com launched at 1am CT on Thanksgiving Day.
I have two theories. Either the text on the landing page is not final or Best Buy has a new concept for their Black Friday sale this year. I could imagine that Best Buy is holding a Thanksgiving Day sale followed by the Black Friday sale.
We have to wait and see. The announcements of other retailers to launch their Black Friday 2013 sale at 8pm on Thanksgiving Day is also just solid for in-store sales. The online Black Friday sales usually start already Thanksgiving Day early morning.
