The part necessary to fix the problem with the Odyssey Minivan breaks will not be available until spring next year
American Honda Motor Company announced that it has recalled its 2007-2008 model of Honda Odyssey minivans. The reason for the recall is the issue which comes from a mix of problems with system component and software. The issue can cause the breaks of the vehicle to engage suddenly without turning the brake lights on. This can be dangerous since it increases the possibility of a crash.

Honda is planning to release a part needed to fix the issue, but unfortunately there are problems with its availability. It is possible that it will be available only sometime in the spring of 2014.
Honda will notify the affected owners about the way around the problem until it can send the necessary part when it becomes available.
