Google+ To Link Profile Pictures with Verified Phone Numbers in Early 2014

If you're anything like me it may take several times talking to someone before you can link their phone number or name with where you met and what they are calling about. Google has announced that in early 2014 it's set to implement a system for Google+ dual link verified phone numbers with the profile picture on your Google+ account.

Google hasn't offered an official launch date only saying early 2014. Your phone number does have to be verified with Google for the feature to work and everyone will be opted in by default it seems. The system will allow users to control all content images used on other people's devices for them.

It will also undoubtedly mean some people with verify the numbers will begin trolling other users by posting odd profile pictures. Another interesting aspect of this is that you'll be able to control when the picture on other devices updates by simply changing your profile pic. It's unclear at this point all versions of Android will support this new feature or only certain devices and certain Android versions.
