The phone, once termed to be a rich man’s phone, has got its reward once it has stepped down from the high end to reach more customers across the world.

Apple is now coming up with more phones than before and even releasing two new versions of iPhone in a single event adding up in the sales tally of the smartphone manufacturer.

In a recent conference call, Apple has announced the Q4 sales report claiming a record 33.8 million units of iPhones sold which is much higher than the last quarter when Apple had managed to sell 26.9 million units. The result is also evident in the company’s total revenue so far in this fiscal year as iPhone has been accounted for almost half of the $37.5 billion, standing at revenue of $19.5 billion in Q4 2013.

The great smartphone manufacturer had also managed to pull up equally grand revenue in the last quarter too. The records of Q3 show that iPhone has helped Apple to earn $18.2 billion out of its $35 billion of total revenue.

With the holiday season still in the horizon, Apple is still hoping to push out more iPhone 5c and iPhone 5s smartphones. So by the end of this year, iPhone has great many numbers to add up into Apple’s account.
