Apple is Developing Two iPhones with Large Curved Screens

Apple Balla reports that Apple is working on two new iPhone models with bigger display and downward curving screens. Both models will also have improved pressure-sensors. The sensors will be able to distinguish light from heavy pressure. This feature might be introduced in other Apple products in the future. The release of the new iPhone models is allegedly planned for the end of next year.

The new iPhone models will be the largest phones Apple has made so far, with 4.7 inch and 5.5 inch screens.

Korean Samsung Electronics Co. keeps trying to increase its portion of the smartphone market and stay ahead of Apple. Samsung released in September the Galaxy Round, with its first curved glass display, as well as the 5.7-inch Galaxy Note 3. The price of Samsung’s phones, which is much lower than the price of Apple’s iPhones, allows Samsung to take a big chunk of  the lower-end of the smartphone market.

This is not the first time that Apple plans to release two new iPhone models the same year. This September’s launch of the iPhone 5s and 5c was the first time Apple departed from the previous practice of releasing new models one by one.
