Jerry Lawler Chimes in on Andy Kaufman Story

The bizarre story of Andy Kaufman continues to stay in the news. Andy Kaufman was an extreme comedian and performance artist back in the 70s. He died in 1984 of cancer, or did he? As reported, his brother claimed that he is alive at the 9th annual Andy Kaufman Awards held at the Gotham Comedy Club in New York. He also said he has a daughter. A 24-your old woman took to the stage and claimed to be Andy Kaufman's daughter and that her father is doing well.

Andy Kaufman was known for big pranks, but is faking his death one of them? Today a new report on CNN says that Andy Kaufman's brother is now saying that he was fooled by a hoax.

Earlier former pro wrestler Jerry Lawler commented on the story and said according to LA Times: "was still alive and been with us all this time. But like anybody else, I really don't know any more than what I've heard." Jerry Lawler wrestled Andy Kaufman back in the day and also appeared with him on the David Letterman show.

About the Geek Mind

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.

The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
