Samsung updates its Galaxy Gear Manager app to show full notification content for each and every app. But this $300 gadget will still work only with Samsung devices.
Samsung has launched its Galaxy Gear smartwatch last month that shows only limited notifications on it. It is the major drawback of Galaxy Gear. This Samsung smartwatch has full notification support for its own apps. But Gear has limited notification support for other apps. However, an XDA developer has launched an ATN Manager app to resolve this issue. This app allows you to see full notification content on the Galaxy Gear for almost every app. But it is not needed now. Why? Because Samsung has resolved the issue itself.

Samsung launched a software update for Galaxy Gear Manager app on Friday. The new version 1.5.111304 of the Samsung Galaxy Gear Manager now allows user to see full notification content of every app. This new Manager software of 15.87MB is now available free to download from the Samsung app store. But if you are using Galaxy Gear with Note 3, the phone requires a firmware update too.
SamMobile reports that this software update "will now let you select which app sends a notification to the watch. From standard texts and emails to notifications for your note-taking app or Twitter app, you can now enable or disable each individually from showing up on the watch (with the option to press a button to view the particular notification on your phone), and view a list of all notifications from a dedicated notification center."
With this software update, Galaxy Gear resolves the major issue for which it has been criticized strongly since launch. But the $300 Galaxy Gear still works only with Samsung devices. And this will also limitize its worth. Samsung should also think to include other devices integration too. This will surely increase the wroth of Gear.
