Call of Duty: Ghosts is the Most Pre-ordered Xbox One Title at North American Retail

Call of Duty: Ghosts is a blockbuster gaming title published by Activision Publishing, Inc. and developed by Infinity Ward. It is a mature game for adults only (above 18 years). It is rated M by the ESRB due to its extreme violence, bloodshed, drug reference and strong language. This gaming title was launched on November 5 for both current generation systems and PS4.

Microsoft's much awaited Xbox One console is going to launch in a day. Xbox One is the all-in-one video games and entertainment system from Microsoft. And the Activision’s blockbuster game is already proved to be a leading next generation title at retail. The No. 1 pre-ordered Xbox One title in North America is clearly the Call of Duty: Ghosts. The pre-ordered data of Best Buy, GameStop, Target and Walmart retailers revealed this fact. This game will be available for day one for Xbox One when it releases worldwide this Friday, November 22.

Eric Hirshberg, CEO of Activision Publishing, Inc.  said, “Call of Duty: Ghosts is the No. 1 best-selling game on PS4 in North America at Best Buy, GameStop, Target and Walmart, and also the No. 1 pre-ordered Xbox One title in North America at those retailers for launch. We couldn’t be more excited about the consumer response as we look forward to this Friday’s release of Xbox One. As we’ve said before, it’s a great time to be a gamer, and a great time for Call of Duty fans.”

Sony's PlayStation 4 was launched in North America last Friday. And soon after the launch, Call of Duty: Ghosts has become the No. 1 selling title in North American retail sales on the new PS4 console.

Chris Nagelson, vice president of entertainment for Walmart U.S. said, “Call of Duty: Ghosts is currently the No. 1 best-selling game on PS4. The momentum for this title on next gen is incredible. We know fans across the country will be heading to Walmart this weekend to pick up their Xbox One edition, and on Black Friday to bring home Call of Duty: Ghosts. We expect Ghosts to be one of the most in-demand Christmas gifts of this year.”
