Android 4.4 KitKat is the Google's latest operating system that was unveiled last month. Google Nexus 5 is the first device that comes with Android 4.4 OS. Later on, this updated has been gradually rolling out to other Nexus devices and Moto X. But now the Google Play editions of HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S4 are also updated with Android 4.4 KitKat.
This update is rolling out as a 300MB over-the-air download. But for HTC One, this update is just like Motorola's Moto X. It means that Google Play edition HTC One pure Android OS does not have "Google Experience Launcher" feature that is present in Nexus 5.
