Owner of Elwood, Karen Quigley shared the sad news on Thanksgiving Day with her Facebook followers. She has since posted more about the passing of Elwood. Elwood not only won the title of World's Ugliest Dog that each year draw lots of attention around the world, but also inspired a children book called Everyone Loves Elwood (site). Given the attention his death gets this is indeed true.
