Spotify Artists Launched; Provide Musicians Free Analytics
Spotify has opened up a forum where music lovers and the musicians they love to listen to will flock in droves. Spotify Artists is the all-new scheme to get the entertainment services to the audience and transfer the payments for the services rendered into the coffers of the musicians.
In a similar manner to the digital downloading of compact discs, Spotify’s services up until now were regarded with differing responses from aficionados, musicians and the broader industry. The availability of classy music on Spotify, along with reimbursement to the artists who composed it in the first place, makes for a fair and square deal.
Spotify works in novel ways. Instead of resorting to shoddy pirate copies, fansare encouraged to pay a little in return for some high quality listening experience. And about 3/4th of the earnings are given as royalties to the musicians. It is a sensible approach indeed. The Spotify Artists site offers the statistics and figures on how the business operates.
There is an Artist Analytics dashboard that lends a bird’s eye view of much of the data generated on Spotify. Then there are the concert tickets and miscellaneous merchandise that are necessary appendages of all music albums that debut on Spotify. All in all, it is a source of inspiration to artists and fans alike.
The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.
The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
