The most interesting video glasses on the market today are certainly the Google Glass glasses. The problem with Google Glass is that the average consumer can't buy them and they are over $1000 per set. Vuzix announced this week that its new M100 Smart Glasses are now available for consumers to purchase.
The M100 aren't smart glasses like the Google Glass. Rather the M100 is a small wearable display that fits around the earpiece of just about any glasses out there. The glasses offer hands free connectivity with smartphones and the ability to watch video and view photos among other things. The small screen is WQVGA resolution and equivalent to a 4-inch smartphone screen held 14-inches away.
The glasses have four control buttons and can be controlled with a smartphone interface. The camera in the glasses is a 5MP unit and it has the ability to record full HD resolution video. The glasses are available for $999.99.
