Phone is available for 499 euros
We've been hearing about the dual screen Yota Phone for a while now. The big claim to fame for this smartphone is that it has a screen on each side. One of the screens is a typical LCD. The other is designed to sip power and be more readable in direct sunlight.
The perfect tech for that is an e paper display, which is exactly what is on the flip side of the Yota Phone. The device will cost 499 euros according to CNET and it will run the Android operating system. The processor is a dual-core 1.7GHz unit.
The front LCD is a 4.3-inch unit with 720p resolution. The rear is a 4.3-inch e-ink unit. Yota says that the smartphone will last 50 hours when reading with that e-ink display. The Yota Phone is expected to launch in the US.
