An iPhone with 4.7-inch screen would compete with the Nokia’s 4.5-inch Lumia 1020 and Samsung Galaxy’s 5-inch S4. An iPhone with 5.7-inch screen would enter the world of "phablets", and will be in direct competition with Samsung's Galaxy Note III.
Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO, said that Apple does notplan to trade off screen size for key iPhone features such as resolution, app quality and low poweruse, in order to introduce larger screen on the new models of iPhones. Fortunately, the display and processortechnology is developing so fast that it will probably not be necessary for Apple to make any trade-offs and will be able to keep its high quality features in its new, larger screen iPhone.
